  • We will be making spooky Halloween punch on Monday.
  • Our class will be performing at the PTO meeting on November 29th, so mark your calendars.
Spelling/Phonics:

*Our test will be Friday over these words. The dictation sentence will be for a grade as well.

Reading/Sight Words:

Here are a few activities you can do along with your child's book they bring home. Have them do a writing assignment that goes along with the book. Ask them comprehension questions about the book. Have them tell you what the story was about after reading.

Math:

Monday- Problem Solving Day
Tuesday- Introduce line plots
Wednesday- Domino Addition
Thursday- Unit 3 Review Day

    • Monday- "Pawsitively Drug-Free"- Kick-off day
    • Tuesday- "Follow Your Dreams"- Wear pajamas, robes, or slippers.
    • Wednesday- "Go Green"- Wear green
    • Thursday- "Staying drug free is no sweat"- Wear sweats or comfy clothes.
    • Friday- "Team up against drugs"- Wear your favorite team colors or shirt.
  • Please make sure to buy a yearbook, if you would like one. The cost is $20.00.
  • This week we will be doing a unit study on Halloween.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:05-6:15. Hope to see you there!

  • Ask your child about leader of the pack. It is our new school wide reward system for good behavior. It will begin this week.

Reading/Sight Words:
Make sure to make your child use their reading strategies when they come to a word they don't know. Here is a list of the strategies we use: look at the picture, check the beginning sound, think about what would make sense, stretch through the word (not sound it out), look for parts of the word you know

Sight Words: come, was, take, but, here, little, that, day, they, got, back, not, came, up, good, home, off, now

Math:
Monday- Exploration Centers, Problem Solving
Tuesday- Counting on the # line
Wednesday- Adding/Subtracting on the # line
Thursday- Math Test over lessons 3.4-3.6
Friday- No School
