Announcements:

Our Thanksgiving holiday will be November 26-28.
I will be sending home a few Thanksgiving songs to practice at home. We will be performing these on stage in the cafeteria either November 24th or 25th. I'm not exactly sure of the time and date yet, but I will let you know when I do.
Our class will be performing at the PTO meeting on November 18. Please try to attend. Your child will get to sing on stage!

Monday-Review for Chapter 3 test

Tuesday- Take Chapter 3 Test

Wednesday- Introduce Subtraction Strategies-Chapter 4

Thursday- Lesson 4.1- Use count back 1,2,3 as a strategy.

Friday- Lesson 4.2-Recall addition facts to help you subtract #'s within 20.

Please return homework on Friday :)

Reading/Sight Words:

very, an, over, out, its, ride, into, just, blue, red

*Please read at least once each night.

I will be giving a unit 2 sight word test at the end of this week.

50th day of School!

October 27-31, 2014 Red Ribbon Week!

Announcements:

The 50th day of school will be October 28th. We will dress in 50's attire on this day to celebrate!
Please check your Red Ribbon Week note for daily themes.
Please remember to try to do math homework on the day of or after I have taught the lesson. This will really help when doing math homework.
If you would like to send Halloween treats or candy on Friday that is fine with me. We won't be having a party, but I do have some fun things planned. Also, the students are NOT allowed to wear costumes on Friday.
