Announcments:

  • We will be continuing our Common Core Unit, Life Lessons. We will be focusing on how stories can teach us life lessons. This week the focus is on cooperation.
  • Next week there will be no newsletter because we will have learning camp. The students will go to different classrooms in our pod to do activities.
  • Our Christmas party is on Thursday, December 19th at 2:00.
  • Christmas break is December 23-January 3.
  • There will be no school for students on Monday, January 6th.

They will not receive any assistance on the test in April, so I'm trying to prepare them for independent work. I realize some words may be difficult for them, but they will come across that problem on the test as well. I'm hoping this will help get them ready for what they will see.
