Annoucements:

  • We will completing our common core unit, "Alphabet Books and the Children who Read Them."
  • We will also be doing some apple activities this week in class. If you could send an apple of your child's choice this week, that would be great!
  • Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on Friday for P.E.
  • Parent/Teacher conferences will be on Monday, September 29th from 12:00-8:00.
  • Picture re-takes will be on October 8th.

On Friday, I will have students use these words in a dictation sentence. I will be checking for correct spelling of the 3 letter s blend and correct sentence formation.

Math:
Monday- Lesson 2.4- Use model to solve taking from and taking apart problems.
Tuesday- Lesson 2.5- Compare pictorial groups to show meaning of subtraction.
Wednesday-Lesson 2.6- Model and compare groups to show meaning of subtraction.
Thursday- Comparing to understand the meaning of subtraction. Play the Different Game.
Friday- Take Mid-Chapter Quiz

*Please return homework on Friday.

Reading/Sight Words:
Be sure to check your child's folder each night for reading homework. 

Sight Words:  out, be, as, have, go, we, am, then, little, down (They just need to be able to read these words to me.)
