Announcements:

• There will be no school on Monday, January 16th for MLK day.
• We will have group pictures on January 26th.
• Please return book orders by Friday, January 13th.
• Beginning Friday, we will be having two dictation sentences. One of them will be an unknown sentence for them to write.
• Reading groups will resume on Monday, so be looking for books in your child's folder.
• Report cards go home on Monday, January 9th.

Reading/Sight Words:
Remember to initial your child's folder each night they read. Also, remember to ask your child questions about they stories they read.

Sight Words:  when, boy, who, very, some, then, mother, father, put, where, there, out

Math:
Monday- Problem Solving Day
Tuesday- Dice Sums
Wednesday- Turn-around facts (5+6, 6+5)
Thursday- Doubles Facts (4+4) and sums of ten (6+4, 7+3, 5+5, 9+1...)
Friday- Math Test
