Announcements:

• I had hoped to get some pictures uploaded, but I just ran out of time. I promise next week I'll have some up.
• Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on Friday for P.E.
• If you haven't sent your t-shirt money, I would like to have them all in by the end of the week.
• Please make sure to initial and check your child's folder each night.
• Fall pictures will be on Thursday, September 4th.
• Book orders are due on Friday, September 5th.
• There will be no school on Monday, September 1st.

Math:

Tuesday- Lesson 1.5- Use and understand the additive identity property. (5+0=5, 0+2=2)

Wednesday- Lesson 1.6- Explore the commutative property (5+6=11 is the same as 6+5=11)

Thursday- Using ten frames and dot cards to recognize numbers.

Friday- Introduce rekenreks/ Play Shake it

*Please return math homework on Friday.

For our test, I will say a sentence using a few of these L-blend words. They will write the sentence I say. I will be checking for correct spelling of the l-blend words and correct sentence formation.

Reading/Sight Words:

We will be beginning our reading groups this week. Be sure to check you child's folder for reading homework each night. I will place a book in their folder for them to read. They won't have a book to read every night.
