  • This week we will be continuing our Common Core Unit, The Amazing Animal World.  We will have a focus on reading to learn. We be also be studying spiders this week. 
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on October 22nd and 24th from 3:30-6:30.
  • Report cards go home on Monday, October 21st.
  • Our P.E. day is on Wednesday. Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on that day.

  • February 15th and 18th are inclement weather days. We will not have school on those days, if there is no bad weather prior to them.
  • The Valentine's party will be on Thursday, February 14th at 2:05. The cost is $1.00. If you haven't sent your money, please do so as soon as possible. Also, please feel free to join us for the party. We would love to see you there.

I will be sending home reading passages in your child's math packet each week. Please try to encourage your child to use their reading strategies when they come to words they're not sure about. They will not receive any assistance on the test in April, so I'm trying to prepare them for independent work. I realize some words may be difficult for them, but they will come across that problem on the test as well. I'm hoping this will help get them ready for what they will see.
